Welcome to U.S.ymbols. This site focuses on the United States’ national symbols as well as the more than 1,500 state symbols representing the fifty states.

U.S.ymbols replaces GeoSymbols, which was the first state symbols site on the Internet.

I’ve been laboring for years to put together the most authoritative state symbols reference ever. Unfortunately, I’ve been held back by one obstacle after another, including the coronavirus pandemic.

However, my current plan is to publish three books about state symbols towards the end of 2021. I will try to upgrade this website at the same time.

In the meantime, check out my campaign for a new Washington State flag @ www.waflag.com. My books will include flag proposals for other states, including my native West Dakota.
